Reliable, comparable data
Our goal is to consolidate reliable and comparable data on the biopharmaceutical sector in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Turkey, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, the UAE and Indonesia. These baseline data lay the foundation for South-South discussions and future partnerships within forums such as BRICS.
The Data Driver supports decision-making across the whole Emerging Biopharmaceuticals value chain — from innovation to manufacturing and market access — in partnership with GlobalData and the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo.
What we measure
- Innovation (TRLs 1–5): research centres, publications and patents, active clinical trials, and startups and public laboratories developing biological products.
- Manufacturing (TRLs 6–8): GMP facilities and capabilities, technology platforms, regional industrial clusters, regulatory certifications and technology transfers.
- Market access (TRL 9): imports and exports, market participation of biosimilars and local manufacturers, public-private partnerships, licensing and cross-border collaborations.
- Open-access dashboards for members and non-members at data.emergingbiopharma.org.
